The County of Alameda, in collaboration with ACHCH, Health Care Services Agency, and Abode Services, has opened isolation housing for symptomatic or COVID-19 infected or exposed people experiencing homelessness that can't quarantine in "home isolation." See flyer.
Referrals into the Isolation Housing are made by hospitals and clinics, shelters, and county and city street outreach providers throughout Alameda County. Only symptomatic persons suspected or confirmed as having COVID-19, or who are contacts with someone known to have COVID-19, are currently being referred into Isolation Housing. See list of referral agencies.
County, City and State staff are working towards developing more isolation housing opportunities, including for high-risk persons. Keep in touch for more news.
