Experiencing Homelessness

Tested Positive? COVID-19 medications can prevent hospitalization and death, especially among persons age 50+ or with chronic medical conditions.

If you have a positive COVID-19 test, have symptoms, and you can’t connect with a medical provider, you can:
  • access a telehealth visit
  • talk to a clinician
  • get a prescription
  • pick up Paxlovid or Molnupirivir
at a local pharmacy free of charge.

Free Access to COVID-19 Treatment, Telehealth Visit, and Medication through the State of California:
Schedule an appointment as soon as possible as the medication is most effective 5-7 days after symptoms begin. Click here to schedule an appointment or call (888) 897-1244.

Alameda County COVID-19 Treatment Information

Anyone who is symptomatic, infected with, or has had close contact to someone with COVID-19 can access Alameda County's isolation and quarantine hotels for their own safety and to prevent the spread of infection (if they can't isolate in-place). Everyone referred to isolation and quarantine hotels will be quickly screened by an onsite nurse for anti-viral COVID-19 treatment. This optional and highly recommended treatment consists of a five-day course of anti-viral medications that can greatly reduce symptoms and risk of hospitalization or death.

Unsheltered persons who choose to isolate in tents or camps can count on ACHCH Street Health Teams to screen them for anti-viral COVID-19 treatment and prescribe them with medication. Please call (510) 891-8950 for more information.
