Street Health Outreach and COVID-19
The County of Alameda, in collaboration with Alameda County Health Care for the Homeless, Health Care Services Agency, Abode Services, and the State of California, has initiated Project Roomkey, opening Operation Comfort, isolation housing for symptomatic or COVID-19 infected people experiencing homelessness, as well as Operation Safer Ground, safe housing for high-risk people experiencing homelessness. If street health outreach providers have specific issues or challenges with individuals who may be symptomatic, infected or at-risk of COVID-19, please email Alameda County Health Care for the Homeless at achch@acgov.org with details.
Weekly Provider Community Call:
ACHCH facilitates a weekly community call for both street health outreach and shelter health providers in Alameda County to share information and updates every Wednesday from 10:30am-11:30am. Please email achch@acgov.org to gain access to the meeting if you are a homeless services provider in Alameda County. Weekly call notes are available here.
